Emergency Do’s & Don’ts

FIRE
Smother a wastebasket fire. Pull alarm. Use portable extinguisher. Immediately call the property management office at (713) 255-2340. Proceed to the stairwells.	Don’t call the Fire Department before calling the property management office. Don’t use elevators. Don’t try to use fire hose, there are none.
SMOKE ODOR ONLY
Call the property management office immediately.	Don’t call the Fire Department.
SMOKE
Call property management office immediately at (713) 255-2340. Pull manual alarm. Proceed to stairwell exits.	Don’t lock doors. Don’t use elevators.
WINDSTORM
Listen for weather service announcements. Move to central areas on your floor.	Don’t stay near exterior windows. Don’t go outside.
POWER FAILURE
Call the property management office at (713) 255-2340.	Don’t leave your floor.
ELEVATOR MALFUNCTION
Push BELL button. Press emergency telephone button, wait for instructions.	Don’t panic. The worst will be a short delay.
BOMB THREAT
Listen carefully for details from caller. Call the Police at 911. Call the property management office at (713) 255-2340.	Don’t panic. Remain calm.
MEDICAL
Call Ambulance – 911. Call the property management office at (713) 255-2340. Security personnel will escort medical team to the appropriate floor.	Don’t move injured person, keep comfortable.
