Hertz Investment Group has been, and will continue to be, a leader in energy conservation and environmental awareness as it relates to the management and operation of its buildings. With the elevated awareness globally, and more recently nationally, of this issue, and the importance of sustainability and energy independence, Hertz Investment Group has increased its efforts in this area.
Hertz Investment Group has developed and implemented ongoing training programs which raise environmental awareness among our employees and the tenants we serve. Hertz Investment Group will commit to LEED certify its buildings unless, due to physical or economic limitations, such certification is not feasible. In those cases we will incorporate LEED practices for sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy & atmosphere, materials & resources, and indoor environmental quality whenever possible. Additionally, we will target each building in our portfolio to be upgraded to an Energy Star rating of at least 65, track our progress and issue consumption data annually.Our goal is to create a balance between reducing the impact our buildings have on the environment, social responsibility and increasing value for our investors.
